Clear Answers for Complex Sustainability Challenges

FAQ

Our FAQs provide guidance on emissions tracking, climate disclosure, and assurance readiness—helping organisations navigate regulatory and reporting requirements with confidence.

What is Call from Earth?

Call from Earth is a sustainability and emissions intelligence platform that helps organisations measure, manage, and report Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions in one system.

Who is the platform for?

It is designed for small to large organisations, sustainability teams, finance and risk leaders, and businesses preparing for mandatory climate reporting.

Does it support Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions?

Yes. Call from Earth supports automated calculation and management of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, aligned with recognised methodologies.

What is a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions footprint?

A greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions footprint—often called a carbon footprint—is an estimate of the emissions generated by an organisation’s activities and operations. It includes gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, which trap heat in the atmosphere. Emissions are reported using the GHG Protocol across three categories:

    • Scope 1: Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources
    • Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased energy
    • Scope 3: Indirect emissions from the value chain, such as suppliers, travel, and logistics
What does 'tCO₂e' mean?

tCO₂e stands for tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent. It is a standard unit that converts different greenhouse gases into an equivalent amount of CO₂ based on their global warming impact. This allows all emissions to be measured, compared, and reported consistently in a single metric.

How are emissions estimated across Scope 1, 2, and 3?
Emissions are estimated using internationally recognised standards such as the GHG Protocol and ISO guidelines. Calculations are based on activity data, such as fuel use, energy consumption, materials, and transport distances, and standard emissions factors. This approach supports consistent, audit-ready reporting across Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (purchased energy), and Scope 3 (value-chain emissions). Estimates are indicative and depend on data quality; they are suitable for sustainability reporting but do not represent exact measured emissions.
How accurate are the emissions reports?

Emissions reports provide a clear and consistent overview of emissions based on recognised standards and the information provided. Accuracy and completeness improve as data quality improves, which is important when using the results for formal reporting, compliance, or assurance purposes.

Is Call from Earth suitable for mandatory climate reporting?

Yes. The platform is built to support audit-ready sustainability and climate disclosures, including ISSB and Australian reporting requirements.

Can we track targets and progress?

Yes. You can set sustainability targets, track actual performance, monitor variances, and manage initiatives in one place.

Is Call from Earth a SaaS platform?

Yes. Call from Earth is a secure, cloud-based SaaS platform developed and maintained by Senoku Group.

Can we set and track net-zero targets?

Yes. You can define net-zero or science-based targets, track progress against them, and compare actual emissions vs targets in real time.

Is Call from Earth suitable if we are early in our sustainability journey?

Yes. The platform supports organisations at all maturity levels - from first-time reporters to advanced sustainability leaders.

How long does implementation take?

Implementation timelines vary based on organisational size and data complexity. Typical implementations range from a few weeks to a few months, depending on scope.

Do you provide onboarding and support?

Yes. Senoku Group provides:

    • Structured onboarding
    • Platform training
    • Ongoing support
    • Advisory assistance as requirements evolves
Do you offer carbon offset solutions?

Can the platform scale as our organisation grows?

Yes. Call from Earth is designed to scale across:

    • Multiple sites
    • Business units
    • Regions
    • Reporting requirements
What customer data do we collect?

We collect basic company and user details, such as your organisation name, primary contact name and email, and login credentials, along with non-personal operational data used for emissions calculation and reporting. The platform may store transaction records but does not store or display credit card or payment details.

How is data security handled?

Data security and governance are core to the platform. Call from Earth follows strong security practices, including access controls, data integrity measures, and secure hosting AWS (Amazon Web Services) aligned with enterprise expectations.

Who developed Call from Earth?

Call from Earth is developed by Senoku Group, an Australian technology company with over 70 years of collective experience in enterprise software development.

How do we get started with Call from Earth?

You can request a demo or speak with our team to discuss your requirements. We will help assess your needs, demonstrate the platform, and outline an implementation approach tailored to your organisation.
